Description

Scrudo is a subconscious Artist; he does not think or plan when he paints; he just is.

Free Me No.1 is a pure expression of Scrudo’s subconscious ancestry beging to be freed.

Scrudo’s Paternal Grandmother (Mima, ’24) used to tell him stories; one of those stories was that her Great Grand Father, was the son of a Slave Woman and Spaniard. His life was spared by  the Spaniard but his slave mother was murdered, Mimi called it “una ‘boca ‘bajo”
